Sunday, June 3, during the 10:45 AM service, the Spring 2012 Class of Stephen Ministers will be commissioned. A reception will follow in the Parlor.

Stephen Ministry Retreat

Stephen Ministers from DCC and University United Methodist Church joined together for a retreat at Christ the King Retreat Center on April 20-21. Speaker, Joy Palma, presented lessons on the theme Oil for Your Lamp: Keeping your Spiritual Lamp Filled. It was a fabulous time of spiritual renewal and fellowship.

Before Easter, Compassion Cooks prepared care packages for DCC’s college students who are away from home. On April 23, some members prepared two meals for one of our Missions of the Month, Sarah House. Residents were grateful to come home to lasagna in the oven, homemade cookies, bread, a big salad and fresh fruit.

After the service, children will have the opportunity to eat lunch with their families and THEN head back to their respective Sunday School classes from 12:15-1:15PM so that parents can attend the Master Plan Roll-Out. What a fun way to spend Sunday!

Concert of Sacred & Secular Music

Join us in the Fellowship Hall for a fun-filled evening of bell music. DCC’s bell choirs will join choirs from Chittenango’s First Presbyterian, Christ Church in Manlius, Eastern Hills, Embassy Ringers and the trio, Belle Aire.

While enjoying a wide variety of music, you will be treated to snacks and beverages and, during intermission, an array of desserts will be provided. A free-will offering will be collected.
