Welcome to our fun, exciting VBS as we journey with Joseph from Prison to Palace. Celebration Time, Family Time, Creative Crafts, Awesome Games, and Life-Changing Experiences – all this and more are in store for your kids this summer. Kids, ages 4 (entering PreK) to 12 (entering 6th Grade) are welcome to sign-up and join us. Registration is $25 per child (2nd child-$20, 3rd child-$15). For a family of 3 or more kids, the flat cost is $60 for the entire week. Associate Pastor Called

After reviewing more than 50 resumes and interviewing 5 finalists, the Personnel Committee along with Dr. Sommers have extended a call to the Reverend David S. Van Brakle to Serve as Associate Pastor beginning on September 1. David is a graduate of Eastern College and Colgate Rochester Crozer Seminary. David’s primary area of focus will be general pastoral duties along with directing and developing our small groups ministry. David’s wife, the Reverend Erica Van Brackle will also be serving on our staff in a part time capacity as an Associate Pastor in the areas of Worship and Student Ministries.

Camp Dad

On Friday June 18th dads and kids will have the chance to spend some quality time together. We’ll be having a cookout together along with some fun activities, and camping overnight followed by a light breakfast. We’ll be all finished up by 9:00AM. Kids of all ages – up through high school seniors – are invited even if a dad is unable to attend. The cost is $5.00 per participant. To join the fun, download and complete the Camp Dad Registration form, and submit it and your check to the church office by Sunday, June 13th.

Wyldlife Camp & Summer Servants

Wyldlife Camp is for 6th-8th graders and is guaranteed to be the best week of your life! It is an overnight camp from July 24th-28th. All students currently in 6th-8th grades are invited to come. Summer Servants is for students going into 9th-12th grades. It will be an amazing week of providing services to those in need within the city of Syracuse.

DCC Annual Golf Outing

The 6th annual DCC Golf outing will be held on Monday, August 23rd at Woodcrest Golf Club in Manlius. The cost is $85 per golfer before July 30th ($90 after July 30th). The registration fee includes lunch, greens fee, shared cart, dinner and commemorative gift. Final date for registration is Sunday, August 15th. Not a golfer? Come to the fellowship dinner (cost $25). Please consider sponsoring a hole – a great advertising opportunity for your business. Tee and green sponsorships are $125. Welcome Interim Associate Pastor

We welcome the Rev. William Carlsen to DeWitt Community Church. Bill, as he likes to be called, will be serving as part-time Interim Associate Minister working primarily in the Congregational Care Ministry along with specific projects.

Confirmation Sunday

This year’s Confirmation service will take place on Sunday May 23rd at the 10:45 Service.

The service will be planned and led by the youth who are a part of this year’s confirmation class, so join us for a very special service. If you prefer a service that follows our usual order of worship, the 9:00am service on that day will still be following that format.

This years Confirmation Class is comprised of a very bright and talented group of 24 young men and women. We invite you to support them by being present as they confirm their faith in Christ.
