CHOIRS

Chancel Choir

Director: Carolyn Weber
Rehearsal: Thursdays 7:15 – 8:30pm & Sunday mornings, a half hour before Worship Services begin*
Performance: Sunday Services

* All rehearsals are held in DCC Choir Room, located below the sanctuary and accessed from the Narthex via the stairs to the lower level.

Choir Rehersal (artistic)

An integral part of the worship service at DeWitt Community Church, the Chancel Choir prepares traditional sacred music for the 9:00am & 10:45am services on Sunday morning. Professional section leaders aid in learning parts and strengthening each section. Music-reading skill is a plus, but not required for participation. If you love to sing, come join the Chancel Choir musical family.

New Children/Youth Choirs

  • Chapel Choir (youth choir, Grades 9-College)
  • Altar Choir (middle choir, Grades 4-8)
  • Cherub Choir (training choir, Kindergarten-3rd Grade)

These new choirs are open to any youth who is interested – no audition or experience required! Rehearsal times still to be determined.

HANDBELLS

Handbell Choir

Director: Pam Spirko
Rehearsal: Thursdays 6:00 – 7:00pm, Rm. 9
Performance: Monthly during the school year

We are looking for more ringers to join this fun-loving group. Experience is not necessary, but a working knowledge of rhythm reading is helpful.

Young Ringers: Children’s Handbell Choirs

Director: Pam Spirko
Rehearsal: Sunday mornings*
Performance: Throughout the school year

* This year, we are going to try to set up two choirs with different ability levels. Both will rehearse Sunday mornings, one between the services and one at 11:45am.

If your child is interested in serving the Lord by participating in the worship services, have them check out the Young Ringers choirs. Young Ringers is open to children from kindergarten through middle school, and they will play in a worship service about once every other month.

MEDIA

This ministry provides electronic audio/visual, computer systems, lighting and support services to the ministers, ministry leaders, staff, fellowships and corporate worship. The intent of this ministry is to provide another tool to enhance the spiritual growth of our members and as an outreach to our family and friends.
