Music- reading skill is a plus, but not required for participation. If you love to sing, come join the Chancel Choir musical family.

Adult Bell Choir
Director: Amanda Tafel (until Dottie Clark is able to return)
Rehearsal: Thursdays 6:00 – 7:00PM
Performance: 3-4 times during the regular church year

The Adult Bell Choir is comprised of adults and teens with music-reading skill who prepare traditional bell music to enhance worship during Sunday services on special occasions. Rehearsals are held once a week during the regular church year, on Thursdays from 6:00 to 7:00PM in the Sanctuary. Because everyone in the ensemble has an assigned part in the music being rehearsed, weekly participation is important by all members.

Children & Youth Music Ensembles

Joyful Noise Bells & Choir
Director: Dr. Kay Paulsen (until Dottie Clark is able to return)
Rehearsal: Sundays 9:15 – 9:50AM
Performance: 4 times during the regular church year.

Children’s Choir
Director: Dr. Kay Paulsen (until Dottie Clark is able to return)
Rehearsal: Sundays 10:00 – 10:40AM
Performance: Once a month in Sunday Services during the regular church year

Children ages 7 through 13 are encouraged to participate in Children’s Choir. This ensemble sings in unison and in parts, providing special music once a month for Sunday worships services. The Children’s Choir also prepares and performs the Christmas musical in December. Music-reading skill is not required for participation.

Beginning Chimes
Director: Dr. Kay Paulsen (until Dottie Clark is able to return)
Rehearsal: Sundays 11:00 – 11:40AM
Performance: 1 – 2 times during the regular church year

Children of all ages with no or little music-reading skill are welcome to join the Beginning Chimes ensemble. Participants learn to read music through games and activities as well as having fun playing the chimes. Weekly participation is important due to the accumulative nature of the information to be learned.

Intermediate Chime/Bell Choir
Director: Amanda Tafel
Rehearsal: Sundays 11:50AM – 12:30PM
Performance: 3 – 4 times during the regular church year

Children of all ages with music-reading skill are welcome to join the Intermediate Chime/Bell Choir. Participants prepare traditional bell music to enhance worship several times a year. While preparing music to perform, members of the Intermediate Chime/Bell Choir continue to improve their music-reading skill. Because everyone in the ensemble has an assigned part in the music being rehearsed, weekly participation is important by all members.
