DCC Family Ministries
The mission of DCC Family Ministries is to partner with families to help them develop followers of Jesus Christ. DCC Family Ministries provides a safe environment for children and youth to learn that Jesus loves them. Our curricula help them to explore their faith and apply it to their daily lives.
All our volunteers and staff are screened and trained to work with children and youth.

Preschool & Elementary
Our goal is for the kids in these age groups to know one thing: Jesus loves them! They will learn so much more with our interactive curriculum, but the overarching message focuses on Jesus' love, helping kids feel comfortable in Sunday school classes and want to return. Our activities each Sunday feel a little like a mini-Vacation Bible School: we sing, we learn a Bible story, we play games, and we do a craft or other hands-on activity. The curriculum is adjusted for each classroom, with PreK/K and Elementary typically offered separately during our 11 am service and together in a "Multi-Age" class during our 9 am service.

Middle School
Our hope for our middle school students is for them to have a place to dive deeper into the Bible while having a place to ask questions and create community. We know that these kids often feel awkward sharing with each other and adults. We try to keep the classroom relaxed and comfortable, with lots of fidgets and quiet activities to work on while kids are talking about their lives and faith. We dive into scripture each week and learn to pray for each other.

High School
We aim to encourage high school students as they grow in their own faith by learning about topics that are of interest to them, touching on some of the history and context of the Bible, as well understanding the stories in the Bible and the real world application that comes with them. We look to help them continue to establish a faith that lasts them into adulthood and throughout their lives.

Confirmation
Confirmation is an opportunity for students to confirm their faith in Christ. Our baptism vows were made for us by our parents, while Confirmation is the opportunity for our youth to make the decision for themselves about their faith. We do this through a year-long exploration of faith meeting together and connecting in classes, serving both the community and our church, as well as going on retreats to build fellowship and dive deeper into our beliefs. Our hope is to provide students with a foundation of spiritual practices as well as a community of individuals to support them in their faith journey at Dewitt Community Church.

Youth Group
During the year we have several events that take place for students in grades (5th - 12th) to help to continue to create a sense of community amongst youth at the church while allowing them opportunities to grow in their faith!

Stay and Play
Every Wednesday from 10:30 AM - noon our church hosts Stay and Play. It's an open gym for kids and caregivers! There's no programming, just lots of toys and fun. Everyone is welcome and there is no cost to attend
